Miky Posted February 19, 2021 Share Posted February 19, 2021 Need opinions. 2005 GC 4.7. After driving for a while, turn off engine. Around 10 -20 minutes later I start the engine. After a few seconds it idles rough a sounds like it a wants to die. After a few seconds it goes back to normal and runs great. Any ideas? Jim Posted February 19, 2021 Share Posted February 19, 2021 Sounds like a fuel problem. Fuel pressure leaks down then you start it with low pressure and the engine runs but does not have enough fuel after a couple seconds the fuel pressure builds up and the engine runs fine. You should also inspect your PCV system hoses. One should be connected to the air inlet behind the Mass Air Flow sensor. If it is not the engine will run rough in open loop and smooth out when it goes into closed loop. That is a common problem. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
